The Town of Hillsborough is requesting qualifications for investigations and engineering services from a firm with a specialty focus on drinking water reservoirs and dams.
The selected firm will be able to perform recommended tasks identified in a recent annual dam inspection report on its own or with the use of subconsultants or subcontractors. The firm may be asked to perform further design, permitting, bid, construction administration and observation services once the initial, in-depth evaluations are completed and a more succinct scope of work is identified.
Part of the expected work is due to damage from Tropical Storm Chantal. To assist the town’s efforts to receive federal reimbursement, the selected firm will be asked to expedite the scope and fee professional services agreement. The firm also may be asked to assist immediately with additional documentation and refined and sealed cost estimates for the work to meet requirements of the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
Questions are due by 3 p.m. Dec. 8. Proposals are due by 3 p.m. Dec. 16.
