The Tourism Development Authority administers the proceeds of a 3% room occupancy tax, allocating:

• At least two-thirds to travel and tourism promotion.
• The rest for other tourism-related expenditures.

Composition

• Three members
  • One-third of the members must be individuals who are affiliated with businesses that collect the room occupancy tax
  • One-half of the members must be individuals who are currently active in the promotion of travel and tourism in the town.
  • One member shall be the Town Board member who also serves on the tourism board. That service qualifies that individual as being active in the promotion of travel and tourism in town.

Members shall serve a maximum of to up to six consecutive one-year terms.
