Stormwater Fees
Stormwater fees fund Hillsborough's stormwater management utility, which pays for stormwater services, including:
- Maintaining town-owned stormwater drainage systems.
- Preventing pollutants and debris from reaching waterways.
A fee ensures all properties in town share in the cost, including tax-exempt properties, such as schools, churches and government buildings.
The town's stormwater fees are reviewed annually as part of the budget process. The fees schedule that is adopted with the budget becomes effective July 1 with the new fiscal year.
