The Stormwater and Environmental Services Division works to reduce stormwater runoff pollution reaching local water bodies by:

  • Complying with the town’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit.
  • Regulating development practices.
  • Educating the public about ways to reduce stormwater runoff impacts.

The Public Works Division maintains stormwater drainage areas alongside town-maintained streets.

Terry Hackett and Heather Fisher evaluate an area of muddy runoff between a wooded area and grass.
Stormwater staff frequently make site visits to assess stormwater runoff issues in the community.
