Emergency Alerts

Subscribe to emergency alerts through the mass notification system OC Alerts. Receive alerts such as water and sewer emergencies, evacuations of buildings or neighborhoods, and missing persons.

OC Alerts is a partnership of Orange County and the towns in the county. It is separate from the Town of Hillsborough's utility billing system. Alerts are sent based on the address provided in the account. Make sure addresses and contact methods are up to date.

To receive water and sewer alerts from the Town of Hillsborough:

1. Go to My Subscriptions when registering or confirming your OC Alerts account.
2. Go to Community Alerts.
3. Select “Hillsborough water and sewer.”

Note: Orange Water and Sewer Authority provides service to the Carrboro and Chapel Hill area.
