Restaurants open for takeout and delivery

Below is a listing of restaurants and bars in Hillsborough that are offering takeout and delivery services, as allowed under an executive order issued by Gov. Roy Cooper on March 17, 2020. The executive order required closure of dine-in services at restaurants and bars across the state, effective 5 p.m. March 17, to help slow the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). See a news release on the order.

The Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau is maintaining a list of open farmers markets and restaurants offering takeout and delivery services in Orange County. See the listing on the Orange County Community Information page.

Use of takeout and delivery services

Patronizing our businesses for takeouts and deliveries provides continued support to them in these challenging times. If you are ordering food for takeout or delivery, please be sure to continue to practice social distancing (keeping a distance of 6 to 8 feet from others). Please also know that it is illegal to block traffic lanes. Please park in a parking lot if picking up takeout.

Please note that the status of openings may change quickly. Town staff will update information as it is provided by establishments. Some businesses are listed with "unknown" because staff have not been able to make contact with the business. To update information, contact Hillsborough Economic Development Planner Shannan Campbell by email or by phone at 919-296-9477.
