Each year, the Hillsborough Board of Commissioners considers funding partnership opportunities with nonprofit agencies to fulfill an identified town need or advance the town’s strategic objectives and priorities.

Additionally, nonprofit agencies may seek funding from the two volunteer boards charged with overseeing the town's prepared food and beverage tax and its room occupancy tax.

Town of Hillsborough Funding

Through nonprofit partnerships, the town provides funding for a limited time to qualified agencies that offer services the town can legally fund. This program is a part of the annual budget cycle.
