• Reservations must be requested at least 14 days before the planned event date.
• Requests that extend past a park’s closing time will be denied.
• No electricity is offered with reservations. Outlets at parks are low amperage, only powering small devices like phones.
• Bounce houses are not permitted.
• Reservations are posted weekly at the parks. Direct anyone in the area you reserved to the bulletin or site.
• If issues arise during your reservation, call 911 for assistance. Hillsborough police officers are dispatched through 911.

Reservations allow exclusive rights only to the particular area requested. Proposed activity or use of the park must not:

• Unreasonably interfere or detract from the general public’s enjoyment of the park or from the promotion of public health, welfare, safety and recreation.
• Be anticipated to incite violence, crime or disorderly conduct.
• Involve unusual, extraordinary or burdensome expense or police operation by the town.

By submitting a parks reservations request, you agree to:

• Park only in designated parking spaces and keep all sidewalks and pathways clear and accessible to the public.
• Adhere to the town’s noise ordinance: Hillsborough Code of Ordinances Chapter 5: Article I: Noise.
• Respect all members of the public and park attendees and follow all park rules and regulations posted.
• Remove all decorations and clean the area following use.
• Heed prohibited activities and items.  

About Prohibited Activities and Items

These are not allowed:

• Temporary or permanent mountings that damage or leave residue on the shelter (including tape and nails).
• Spray paint or other markings on buildings, fields or trails.
• Digging or altering of the terrain and natural resources.
• Fireworks, fire or fire pits.
• Water balloons, water slides or water play.
• Livestock (including horses).
• Archery, golf or climbing walls.
• Sound amplifying equipment.
• Alcohol.
• Food trucks.
• Sales or marketing.
• Bounce houses or inflatables.
• Cleats on the fields.

By submitting a park reservation request, you are confirming the following:

I have read and understand the:

• General information regarding reservations.
• Conditions of reservations.
• Cancellations and refunds associated with reservations.
• Information regarding special events.

I indemnify and hold harmless the Town of Hillsborough, its employees, and its agents from and against any and all liability for any injury that may be suffered in connection with this reservation. I also hold harmless the Town of Hillsborough, its employees, and its agents from and against any liability for any equipment or supplies lost or damaged while stored or otherwise affected as a result of this reservation permit.

Reservations are approved at the discretion of authorized staff. They will be canceled if payment is not received by the due date.

Fees must be paid five business days after requesting a reservation.

Reservations are nonrefundable.

• If the park is open during the reserved period, no credit will be issued for bad weather.
• Cancellations made prior to seven days before the reservation date may be credited the amount paid, with credits usable for one year.
