Reserve Cates Creek Park Multi-Use Field

The multi-use fields at Gold and Cates Creek parks are available for reservation only for events that include light-footed play. League practice and competitive games are not allowed unless a Special Event Permit is issued. Cleats and shoe studs are not allowed. Fields are rested during the dormant season to provide the best and safest playing surface during the high-demand, warm-weather months. Reservation of the fields for group activities is limited to April through November. Town staff may take fields out of rotation at any time if the health of the turf necessitates resting the field.

For events with more than 100 people in attendance, lasting more than six hours or including competitive or league play, please see the Special Event Permits page. The field is not generally available for league use due to insufficient parking and wear and tear.

Nonrefundable reservation fees are $10 per hour for residents and $20 for nonresidents. To qualify for the resident fee, the applicant must live within town limits and pay town taxes.

Reservations are available 8 a.m. to 30 minutes past sunset. After receiving this form, staff will email with further instructions.

Reservations must be made at least three business days before the event, and fees must be paid at least two business days before the event. Fees can be paid with a credit or debit card through the town's payments website.

Cates Creek Park is located at 1445 Cates Creek Parkway. For more information, call 919-296-9600.
