Medical Office Building (Waterstone)

A special use permit consistent with the Waterstone master plan was approved in December 2019 to authorize the construction of a 15,000-square-foot medical office building and 74 parking spaces. The tenants are expected to be two clinics that are part of the UNC Health Care system.
The developers of the Waterstone project approached the town about using a new financing tool known as a Special Assessment Improvement District to fund the infrastructure and planned community park.
