Waterstone Fire and EMS Station
350 College Park Road
The Town of Hillsborough has filed a special use permit application to authorize the construction of a public safety building at 350 College Park Road. The building is planned to house both the Orange Rural Fire Department and Orange County Emergency Services staff with shared bays for equipment. This parcel was dedicated to the town by the Waterstone developer for this purpose.
The building will be 12,767 square feet with two double-depth drive-bays to hold four vehicles. It will also have office, support and living space for staff of both agencies. Vehicles can drive through the bays rather than maneuvering in the road.
The public hearing was closed on Oct. 15. The Planning Board recommended approval of this project by a unanimous vote during its Nov. 19 meeting. The town board approved the application on Dec. 14. The resolution is available below.
