Government 101

The town offers a multi-week course aimed at helping community members increase their knowledge of town government, as well as their interest and ability in influencing and participating in town decisions.
Government 101 will be offered 6:30-8 p.m. Thursdays, Sept. 22-Oct. 27, with one exception. An infrastructure tour will be offered 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 22. No Thursday session will take place that week. To graduate, you must attend five of the six sessions.

The objectives of the program are to:
- Increase community members' knowledge, interest and ability to influence and participate in town government.
- Reduce barriers to participating in and influencing town government decisions through increased understanding of key processes and operations.
- Assist in building community members' interest in serving the community through future service.
- Learn from community members attending the course.
