Parks and Recreation Board
The Parks and Recreation Board advises the town on issues related to park facilities. The board also works to implement the recommendations in the Parks and Recreation Master Plan, which is the board’s guiding document. The master plan is revised annually.
All meetings are open to the public.
For more information, contact Public Space and Sustainability Manager Stephanie Trueblood by email or by phone at 919-296-9481.
The board provides comments on recreation space in new developments and communicates with other recreational organizations to facilitate sharing resources and programming. The board coordinates with neighborhood groups to establish neighborhood parks and with the Public Space and Sustainability Division on issues related to park management and plan implementation.
The Parks and Recreation Board has approved an overall master plan for park and recreation facilities and an individual master plan for each town-maintained park.
