Due to current public health concerns, the Board of Commissioners is conducting its regular meeting remotely on June 8, 2020 utilizing Zoom. The agenda is available now on the town website and includes instructions for public comment and for members of the public to view and listen to the meeting via live streaming on the Town of Hillsborough YouTube channel. The board will hold a public hearing to collect public comment on the manager’s recommended FY2021 annual budget and conduct a budget workshop that will include discussion of the general fund, water and sewer fund, and stormwater fund. The board will receive a presentation by Police Chief Duane Hampton and consider reinstating penalties and other enforcement measures for delinquent food and beverage tax, occupancy tax and utility payments, establishing a utility customer payment plan, and providing guidance to staff on flexibility with regulations to assist with business recovery.
