Police Collecting Toys for Santa’s Annual Visit
The Timeless Cruizers car club of Efland will collect nonperishable food items for the local food pantry as well as unwrapped toys for the Hillsborough Police Department to give as Christmas presents. The car club’s event this year takes place 3 to 5 p.m. Nov. 11 in the Hampton Pointe shopping center.

Help the Hillsborough Police Department spread holiday cheer by donating new toys to be distributed during the department's annual visit from Santa.

Hillsborough police are accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages — infants through teenagers — between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays through Dec. 14 at the main police station, 127 N. Churton St. Donations of dolls, balls, games and toys for toddlers are needed especially. No toy weapons or candy should be donated.

Santa will make his annual visit to the lobby of the main police station from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 14. That evening, all children in Hillsborough are welcome to visit the station and tell St. Nick their holiday wishes. Each child will receive a gift.

The Timeless Cruizers car club of Efland will help the Police Department in collecting toys again this year by hosting a toy and food drive from 3 to 5 p.m. Nov. 11 at Hwy 55 Burgers, Shakes and Fries. Bring new unwrapped toys and nonperishable food to the event at 601 Hampton Point Blvd. and enjoy viewing several antique cars while there. The Timeless Cruizers will deliver the donated food to the local pantry run by Orange Congregations in Mission.
