Protect Yourself and Your Property During Cold Weather

Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017

N.C. Gov. Roy Cooper has declared Dec. 3-9 Winter Weather Preparedness Week and, with the possibility of freezing temperatures this weekend, the Town of Hillsborough is reminding its citizens to stay safe.

Low temperatures can bring the possibility of water line breaks and power outages due to high electrical demand, and the town has created informational documents with tips for personal protection and avoiding frozen pipes. These documents are available on the Emergency Information page of the town’s website, along with links to other resources.

Remember to report water line breaks, frozen meters and similar emergencies immediately by calling 919-732-3621.
