Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017
The latest issue of Law Officer magazine features the last in a three-part series of budgeting articles written by Hillsborough’s town manager and police chief.
The current Tactical Budgeting article focuses on the return in investment that law enforcement agencies can attain through training programs. In the article, Town Manager Eric Peterson and Police Chief Duane Hampton note that agencies can reduce insurance claims and, subsequently, the experience modifiers used to calculate an agency’s annual insurance premiums by investing in training. In turn, the savings from reduced claims will help pay for the training.
