Plans this year include starting the renovation work to relocate meeting space and the town annex offices to this town-owned building on East Corbin Street.

Updated July 12 at 2:15 p.m.: This version includes a new link to the budget video, which was revised to correct the amount of revenue generated by the vehicle fee and the amount Hillsborough will spend in Fiscal Year 2017-18 for a rail station design and for repaving streets.

Interested in what the town plans to do with tax dollars between now and next June? Budget Director Emily Bradford gives a helpful overview of the budget highlights in a three-minute video on the town’s YouTube channel.

The Hillsborough Board of Commissioners approved the Fiscal Year 2017-18 budget in June, with operating expenses totaling $22.8 million:

  • $10.4 million in expenses in the General Fund.
  • $11.8 million in expenses in the Water/Sewer Fund.
  • About $600,000 in expenses in the Stormwater Utility Fund.

Town employees will begin the process for the next fiscal year budget in November.
