Hillsborough Police Arrest 2 in House Break-in

Hillsborough police have arrested two men in connection with a break-in Wednesday, Aug. 9, of a home in southern Hillsborough.

Both were arrested Saturday, Aug. 12, for the crime, which occurred at about 3 p.m. in the Waterstone development. Video surveillance posted to the Hillsborough Police Department’s Facebook page on Wednesday night led to the identification of the suspects. They were charged with breaking and entering and with larceny after breaking and entering. The property stolen was valued at $950. Some of the property has been returned to the victim.

The arrested men are:

  • Steven Dillon Ferrell, 19, of 8016 Hebron Church Road in Mebane. He is being held in Orange County Jail under a $5,000 secured bond.
  • Jeffrey Dewayne Perry, 25, of 4212 University Station Road in Durham. He has posted a $5,000 secured bond and has been released from Orange County Jail.
