Hillsborough Police Seek Man in Hotel Robbery

Hillsborough police are seeking a man who robbed a hotel in southern Hillsborough at about 2:30 a.m. today, Sept. 25.

The man entered the lobby of the Holiday Inn Express at 202 Cardinal Drive, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. He left running from the hotel with an undisclosed amount of cash. The clerk was not injured.

Hillsborough police and a K9 officer from the Carrboro Police Department responded. The police dog was able to track the suspect to the parking lot of a nearby apartment complex, but the suspect was not located.

The suspect is a black man estimated to be between 6 feet 1 and 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 170 to 190 pounds.
