New Video Explains Water Treatment Process
The Hillsborough Water Treatment Plant's sedimentation basin is explained in the town's latest service video on the water treatment process.

The Town of Hillsborough’s latest service video explains the process for treating the town’s drinking water.

Hillsborough’s Water Treatment Plant treats up to 3 million gallons of water each day, and the video explains the mechanical and chemical processes used to disinfect it and remove solids, color and odors. The video also explains how employees monitor and adjust treatment processes and how water is collected for treatment and stored for distribution to customers.

The video can be viewed on the town’s YouTube channel and will be broadcast on the town’s government access television channel.

For more information, contact the water plant at 919-732-3621 or by email.
