Work at Kings Highway Park to Begin Monday
Renovation of the parking lot at Kings Highway Park will include removal of dirt, brush and trees to bring in light and make the park feel more welcoming.

Kings Highway Park will close Monday, March 18 for renovation of its parking lot.

Work at the park will include removal of dirt at the parking lot entrance and along the Piedmont Electric easement to increase visibility into the park from Ben Johnston Road. Additionally, the gravel parking area will be widened so cars can safely park perpendicularly and turn around before exiting. Wheel stops will be installed to demarcate parking spaces.

The project, which could take several weeks to complete, is intended to bring in natural light and make the park feel more welcoming. For additional information, see the Kings Highway Park Master Plan linked below or contact Hillsborough Public Space Manager Stephanie Trueblood by email or at 919-296-9481.

Kings Highway Park is located at 1001 Ben Johnston Road. Information about other park facilities is available on the Recreation Facilities page of the town website.
