Suspect Arrested in April Shooting
A Raleigh man has been arrested in connection with a shooting last month in southern Hillsborough.
Elijah Rashad Dobson, 24, of 8621 Neuse Club Lane, Apartment 101 in Raleigh was located today at a Burlington apartment and taken into custody by agents with a local fugitive task force of the U.S. Marshals Service. He was taken to Hillsborough and charged with:
- Attempted first-degree murder.
- Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury.
- Discharge of a weapon into occupied property, inflicting serious injury.
- Possession of a firearm by a felon.
Dobson is being held in Orange County Jail under a $1 million secured bond. He is suspected of shooting into an occupied car on South Churton Street near the intersection of Cardinal Drive on April 16. The victim had multiple gunshot wounds and remains hospitalized, recovering from injuries. An infant in the victim’s vehicle was unharmed.
