Annual Water Quality Report Shows No Violations in 2019

Friday, June 19, 2020
The reservoir’s new spillway features notched weirs, also called piano key weirs, which will increase the dam’s overflow capacity.

Did you know the Town of Hillsborough treated about 584 million gallons of drinking water last year and had no violations? See that information and more in the latest annual water quality report, available now on the town’s website.

The 2019 report includes information on:

  • Hillsborough’s water treatment system and its performance.
  • Where your drinking water comes from.
  • Water quality specifics from the federal Environmental Protection Agency.
  • The status of the reservoir expansion. That project’s completion has been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The report is available in English and Spanish on the Water Treatment Plant page of the town website. For a copy by mail, contact Utilities Analyst Julie Laws by email or by phone at 919-296-9630.
