Free Weekly COVID-19 Testing in Chapel Hill

Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2020

Orange County will be offering free COVID-19 testing from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Chapel Hill each week starting today, Sept. 9.

The drive-through testing is offered in the R-7 Parking Lot, 725 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. The testing is available to anyone in Orange County, and anyone can receive a test regardless of whether they are showing symptoms or are a close contact of someone positive for the virus. Registration is on site, and the nasal swab tests are free. Results are available in three days on average.

The county is working with StarMed HealthCare, based in Charlotte, to provide the testing. It is partnering with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to offer testing to university employees at the weekly event.

For up-to-date testing information, see the county’s COVID-19 Testing page. See the Town of Hillsborough’s coronavirus pages for local information, including the status of town services.
