Police Identify Suspect in Gunfire Incident

The suspect is not in custody and is considered armed and dangerous.

Hillsborough police have secured warrants for the arrest of a suspect in an incident of gunfire outside an apartment complex in Hillsborough in early July.

Nakore Kewan Rogers, 21, with a last known address on Adlett Lane in Durham, is not in custody and is considered armed and dangerous. He is being charged with:

  • Felony charges of discharging a weapon into occupied property and possessing a firearm by a felon
  • Misdemeanor charges of injuring property (three counts) and discharging a firearm in city limits.

Rogers reportedly discharged a firearm toward one of the apartment buildings at Cadence at Cates Creek Apartments, 1000 Waterstone Park Circle, the night of July 3. Two vehicles and a building were struck.
