Updated at 12:35 p.m. on Nov. 16, 2023: Updated to include the survey link.
The Town of Hillsborough is conducting a community survey to assess residents’ satisfaction with town services and to help the town chart its path forward.
The survey, conducted once every two years, has been delivered to town residents by postal mail. Residents may complete the paper survey and return it via the included return envelope or the survey can also be completed online.
“With the approval of the Comprehensive Sustainability Plan, the feedback from the community survey is more important than ever in helping the town effectively implement the plan over time,” Mayor Jenn Weaver said. “The community’s input on what is going well, what needs more attention or change is essential to help the town government in effective service delivery and in the communication of what we’re up to.”
Residents may answer the survey in English on paper or online at the link provided in the survey packet. Those who wish to answer in Spanish may answer online, pick up a Spanish language paper copy at the Hillsborough Administration Building or call the phone number provided in the survey packet. The Administration Building is located on the Town Hall Campus at 101 E. Orange St.
All Hillsborough households should have received a survey in the mail, which should take most people about 15 minutes to complete. Individual results will remain confidential.
The survey questions ask residents about their level of satisfaction and priorities for a wide range of community services. These include public safety, parks and recreation, code enforcement, public works, communication and customer service. Overall results will be discussed at a Hillsborough Board of Commissioners meeting and placed on the town’s website.
