System Pressure Advisory Lifted for Water Customers
Those near U.S. 70A and Elizabeth Brady Road who lost water service or pressure were affected

A system pressure advisory to boil water or use bottled water in part of Hillsborough’s water distribution area has been lifted as of 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19.
Test results of water samples from the area confirm no contamination for customers who experienced an unplanned drop in pressure Friday after a fiber contractor struck a water main earlier that afternoon on U.S. 70A near Elizabeth Brady Road.
Hillsborough utilities staff completed emergency repairs Friday night to the 12-inch water main and issued the system pressure advisory to customers in the area who lost water service or had reduced water pressure. The water lines were flushed until noon on Saturday when water samples were taken to the state lab. Test results take about 24 hours.
