Come to the Creek Week Scavenger Hunt, Open House in Gold Park

Join us for this Engage Hillsborough event, 2 to 4 p.m. March 16

Friday, Feb. 9, 2024

Kick off Creek Week with a scavenger hunt Saturday afternoon, March 16 in Gold Park.

From 2 to 3 p.m., kids and adults are invited to find stormwater-themed scavenger hunt clues in Gold Park, 415 Dimmocks Mill Road. Turn in the completed sheet for a chance to take home a free rain barrel.

In addition to the scavenger hunt, participants can:

  • Drive the stormwater camera.
  • Check out the Public Works Division’s mini excavator.
  • Talk with Tree Board volunteers about removing invasive plants.
  • Take home information about managing stormwater on private property.
  • Get your questions answered by Stormwater and Environmental Services Manager Terry Hackett.
  • Learn more about the town’s stormwater management.

Creek Week 2024 will be celebrated regionally March 16-23. Look for a news release in early March for other events in Orange County.

For more information about the event or the town’s stormwater program and projects, contact Stormwater and Environmental Services Manager Terry Hackett by email or by phone at 919-296-9621.
