Hillsborough police are seeking information and additional potential victims of secret peeping or burglary following an arrest of a Durham man earlier this week.

On Tuesday evening, Jan. 16, Hillsborough investigators arrested Donald Lewis Jr., 29, of Durham for felony attempted first-degree burglary and misdemeanor secret peeping related to an incident the previous week in southern Hillsborough. More charges are pending.

On Jan. 11, officers responded to a suspicious person report at about 7:30 p.m. in a neighborhood off College Park Drive. The investigation revealed that a person was seen recording a victim through a window and that the person then attempted to enter the residence.

Hillsborough police are concerned that there may be other victims. They are requesting that potential victims or others with information contact Investigator Andrew Jones by email or 919-296-9562.

Lewis was driving a black Nissan Maxima during the night of the incident and the day he was arrested. The vehicle is registered to someone else. See the attached news release for photos of the vehicle Lewis was using.

Lewis was taken to Orange County Detention Center and released the following day at his first appearance in court.
